It’s amazing to me that 2010 is already here… ‘09 was such a blur. This time last year, I was “employed”… now I have 9 employees! I am living the life I have dreamed of for a long time. I have long ago learned that the best way to make the most of every minute is to embrace a life of gratitude.
Gratitude is something that is sorely lacking in today’s western culture. It’s all about self promotion and getting what I deserve and my rights. I am still on the journey to success… not where I plan to be… but I’m so grateful for the blessings that I have right now. I feel like embracing the concept of being grateful in my life during a time when I was deep in debt, and practically penniless that has enabled us to enjoy every step along the way to where we are now. A former boss of mine used to say you have to choices when faced with hard times… get bitter or get better.
This year is going to be one that I realize many dreams that have been dormant for a long time. I encourage you as we step into this new year to slow down for a second, take stock of all the blessings you have, and then DREAM BIG! Another great quote I’ve heard when talking about dreams and goals: “if you aim at nothing… that’s exactly what you get…NOTHING!”
