BEWARE: Don’t Mess w/ the ProAdvisors
A funny thing happened… One of my employees has spent a ton of time going thru the certification process to become a Certified Pro Advisor on Quickbooks. Just this week, she completed the process, and as any good boss should be… I am totally excited about this major accomplishment, and posted a congratulatory post on our Corporate blog as quickly as I could type. In my reckless abandon, I used reasoning and logic that made sense to me rather than checking close enough on the facts.
Here’s my line of thinking: We are at the end of 2009, the certification is a year long… so I posted that she was certified for QB 2010.
Mistake

Excuuuuuuse Meeeee!
Apparently, according to some pretty colorful feedback received that I would prefer not to repeat in mixed company, the 2010 certification is not out yet. As Steve Martin used to say…“Excuuuuuuuuse Meeeeee!”
Now, to their defense, these are the type people you want to have watching your finances… relentless attention to detail, down to the Nth degree. I guess I was just caught a little off guard by the swift and angry response I got from people all over the country. I didn’t even know they read our little blog.
Well, no harm, no foul… I hope. I have corrected the post… Katie DID pass her certification… I am VERY proud that she did… Unintentional mistake on my part, I can assure you. Thanks for keeping me honest!
